Covid-19 Policy

Insomnia Egypt Gaming Festival  will take place from 17 – 19 February 2022 at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, Hall 4. As the event organiser, BME is committed to providing you with a safe environment to attend the event, have fun, and do business in accordance with all the health & safety guidelines set out by both international and local authorities. The event will be delivered in-person with strict standards of health & safety precautionary measures including, social distancing, contactless transactions and sanitised hygiene protocols.

The six safety standards we will adhere to, providing assurance and confidence that our event has your health and safety as our number one priority:

Social Distancing

Insomnia Egypt will have one-way visitor traffic flow for entrance and exit. This will prevent bottlenecks in addition to cross walking. Aisle widths have been increased to allow for keeping social distancing wherever possible.

We encourage all our visitors to try and  maintain 1-metre social distancing. We understand this may not be possible in some areas, however, we advise to have an awareness of your surroundings and proximity to others in general.

Hygiene

Government advice is to wash your hands regularly via the provision of hand washing facilities. To supplement this, we will position hand sanitiser stations at all major event zones throughout the event, including restrooms, food court and main stage.

Please ensure you sanitise your hands regularly, wash your hands wherever possible especially around crowded areas.

Enhanced venue cleaning

We will offer a visible, enhanced cleaning regime throughout the venue with increased focus on key touch points, including restrooms, food and beverage areas and help points. Our exhibitors and partners are encouraged to clean their stands throughout the day.

Key event zones will be cleaned and sanitised throughout  the day.

Facemasks/Shields

We strongly promote wearing a face mask over your nose and mouth at the event even though social distancing and hygiene are the primary measures to be used to mitigate against the risks of COVID-19.

Facemasks will be available for everyone to wear at the event free of charge and distributed throughout the event days.

Entry to the event

Trained personnel will be responsible to conduct temperature checks and COVID-19 symptom screening at the entrance to the Festival. If you display any of the symptoms, we will politely ask you not to attend the event and your ticket price will be refunded.

Please do not attend the festival if you currently feel unwell or exhibit symptoms typical of Coronavirus. These symptoms include:
