Cosplay FAQs
There are a couple differences this year, which are:
1- We are allowing international cosplayers
2- We have the normal competition on Friday the 17th of February, but for the first time in Egypt, and as the second country in Africa, we are having WCS Qualifiers on Saturday the 18th of February.
Deadline to fill in the application is on the 31st of January. It’s the usual process we are all accustomed to.
Just make sure you follow the usual rules in the ruleset, make sure your cosplay is never seen before, on social media or events.
This is serious, people do not understand how serious this rule is and expect to be accepted, please keep this rule in mind. Do. Not. Share. Pictures. Of. Your. Work.
Once you fill in the application, if all is good, then you’ll receive an email confirming your application is accepted after the 1st of February.
Because of the tremendous amount of work and non-stop operations happening in the background for you, the following rule is essential:
Next step, a week before the event, we will get in touch to get a “Proof of Work”, which are pictures of your progress, to guarantee your slot in the competition. If the pictures show less than 75% of the work completed, you will be disqualified. This is non-negotiable.
After that, we’ll see you at the event. Just make sure you read the ruleset.
